KENT MEISTER PHOTOGRAPHY

You've found my Tumblr page.

Welcome

Haven’t used this Tumblr in a loooooong time.  Still not sure what I want to use it for anymore, but here’s a look at some new work with hip hop artist Blacks Johnson.  You can read more about it here: http://bit.ly/15pNuPT.

Peace out, Tumblr.

We've moved...if you haven't noticed.

So I’ve let this Tumblr page go for far too long without any explanation.  Originally I intended for this to be my main blog, but times and needs change so I moved the whole operation over to www.kentmeisterphotography.com/blog.  All of my headshot, wedding, engagement and other portrait work will all be over there.

But I still have love for you Tumblr.  We aren’t through just yet.  ;)

Good morning, Grand Teton National Park.

It was such a pleasure to shoot this great, great wedding at the Marquardt Ranch, just outside of San Antonio, Texas.  Kate and Ignacio are an amazing couple and their families couldn’t have been more fun and welcoming!  It was so apparent that every single person there was so happy for these two, it was a beautiful thing to see.  And come reception time, let me tell you, these families know how to get down!  More on that to come… :)

Hey everyone,
So I’ve been a little remiss on posting anything for awhile…but it’s for good reason.  I got married, fools!  It was a great, great day, I just can’t go on enough about how amazing it was.  So I’ve been swimming in newlywed bliss here with Morgan Zipf-Meister (yes, that is her REAL hyphenated name now….bow down to the awesome) and I’m just now getting back into the reality of work.  So you’ll be seeing some new stuff from me VERY soon…
…until then, here’s a shot from my own wedding courtesy of Melissa of Fresh In Love Photography.  Melissa is a great photographer and a totally rad person, we were thrilled to have her there to shoot our wedding!

Here’s a quick preview of Kate & Ignacio from their Texas Hill Country wedding at the Marquardt Ranch.  This wedding was a blast to shoot!  Not only are Kate and Ignacio really fun, cool and all around great people, but Morgan and I got to hang around San Antonio eating a bunch of great food, strolling about the Riverwalk and taking stupid pictures of each other around the Alamo (pics are forthcoming).
Many congratulations to these two!  Can’t wait to share the rest of the pictures with you guys!

Earlier this year I saw a post from Jamie of From Me To You (who is awesome, you should follow her) of the statue garden area in the MET.  I thought of that when I was in the Brooklyn Museum last week spending some time with Rodin.

Scoutmob is one of those companies that has grown and grown and now practically everyone in NYC has used them at one point or another.  The thing that separates them from other deal-based social networking companies is that they actually have taste and style, as you can see from the business they tend to feature and work with.

And they also support local artists, such as myself. :)  Here’s a little interview I did with the folks at Scoutmob recently, mostly focused on my efforts over at Charred Oak Films.  See what I have to say about why I like taking pictures and stuff!
